Kortrijk City is seeking a new operator for the popular 't Plein catering pavilion, located in the heart of the park. The new concession period begins on April 1, 2027.

After nine successful years, the current operators, Ursy Pattyn and Nina Manderick, are passing on the torch. The former card house, which they opened in 2018, has grown into a thriving business and a beloved meeting place. The city is now launching a call for a new concession holder to enhance the vibrant dynamics of the location.
The pavilion is situated in a unique green park setting, close to play areas and with attractive terrace possibilities. Candidates are encouraged to submit creative proposals that will further shape this special place. The evaluation will consider more than just the financial proposal, taking into account the catering concept, business plan, relevant experience, and added value for the neighborhood and the city.
Mayor Ruth Vandenberghe calls it a 'unique entrepreneurial opportunity in a prime Kortrijk location'. Alderman for Commerce Wouter Allijns adds that they look forward to proposals that will 'strengthen the lively dynamic of 't Plein as a meeting place'.
The current operators, Ursy Pattyn and Nina Manderick, look back with gratitude on nine years where they aimed to create 't Kaartershuisje into a place where everyone feels welcome. They hope the new operator will continue the 'connecting role and the uncomplicated atmosphere with equal enthusiasm'.
Interested entrepreneurs can submit their applications until January 4, 2027, at 10 AM. More information and the full tender document are available at www.kortrijk.be/horeca-plein.
