The sports infrastructure in Koekelare has received a significant upgrade with the installation of new lighting in the tennis hall. This renovation ensures more uniform light distribution, benefiting both playing comfort and the conditions for tennis players.
In addition to the lighting, the tennis floor has also been serviced by a specialized company. Following a thorough cleaning and treatment, the courts are now in optimal condition and ready for intensive use throughout the upcoming winter months.
These investments underscore the importance the municipality places on high-quality and pleasant sports facilities. "It is crucial that athletes can practice their hobby in a safe, well-maintained, and comfortable environment," stated Jan Lievens, Sports Alderman. "With the renewed lighting and floor maintenance, the tennis hall is fully prepared for a sporty winter season."
Lievens also highlighted the advantages of switching to LED lighting. "Furthermore, the lighting has been replaced with LED, which will also save considerable energy. The LED lighting also achieves a higher light intensity," he added.
The tennis hall is set to host numerous sporting moments again in the coming months. The municipality of Koekelare wishes all tennis players a successful and sporty winter season.
