Since September 14, 2026, deep soil sampling has been conducted on Albertlaan, near house numbers 4 and 52. These activities are part of the sewer and roadworks project for the Gemeenteplein-Albertlaan initiative.
Following these preparatory works, the road surface at these locations will be fully excavated starting Monday, September 28, 2026. Consequently, passage for motorized traffic will be locally impossible.
Traffic from De Judestraat will be diverted to the Gemeenteplein, even on market days. In Albertlaan, only local traffic will be permitted between De Judestraat and Alfred Verweeplein, and on Boudewijnlaan between Piers de Raveschootlaan and Albertlaan.
These works are scheduled to conclude by Friday, October 9, 2026.
