The Peace Prize Ieper has been awarded since 1998 by the Peace Fund, which supports local peace initiatives. The prize, presented every three years to an individual or organization committed to peace, tolerance, and a just society, includes a monetary award of 25,000 euros. Students from Ieper play a crucial role in selecting the laureate from a shortlist of nominees.
Urban Camp Lviv was chosen by the Ieper students. The organization began as emergency shelter and has grown into a vibrant center where young people can develop their talents through creative and physical expression, guided by coaches and psychologists. They offer temporary housing, psychological support, sports and cultural activities, and training.
