The team, operating across the municipalities of Ingelmunster, Wielsbeke, Dentergem, Oostrozebeke, Hooglede, and the cities of Izegem and Roeselare, has reported various successes in the recent period. These actions contribute to a safer living environment for residents.
Regarding traffic safety, three electric scooters were seized on October 1st because they could exceed the legally permitted speed. Police will continue to focus on fatbikes and e-scooters and repeat these checks to enhance road safety for all users.
Multiple violations were also detected during drug checks. On October 3rd, an individual was found in possession of cocaine in Roeselare. Two days later, on October 5th, cannabis possession was confirmed on the Ardooisesteenweg.
Furthermore, the FLEX team succeeded in identifying and arresting a suspect involved in multiple metal and copper thefts in the vicinity of the Ronde Kom. The individual has been detained for further judicial investigation.
Additionally, on October 1st, a stolen bicycle was recovered from a suspect. On October 3rd, police services also located and arrested a wanted individual.
During a targeted operation on train traffic between Ingelmunster and Roeselare, six trains were inspected. A drug-sniffing dog indicated seven individuals, leading to one positive finding related to narcotics.
