On Friday, October 2nd, the winners of the HoLaPoSta! Summer Quest were celebrated. Despite the warm summer days, this 12th edition attracted no fewer than 306 participants, a 14 percent increase compared to last year.
Noel Pollet from Torhout achieved the highest score and went home with the main prize: a dinner at a local restaurant. Christa Soete from Ichtegem finished in second place, and Greta Lemahieu from Zillebeke came in third.
In addition to the top three, another 45 participants achieved a flawless score. Everyone present received a consolation prize.
Participants came from Houthulst (43), Staden (59), Langemark-Poelkapelle (71), and from outside the region (133). The fact that more than a third of the participants came from outside the three municipalities shows that the quest is an established value in the region.
The HoLaPoSta! Summer Quest aims to let residents and visitors discover the most beautiful spots in the region each year. This year, the focus was mainly on Houthulst, Klerken, and Jonkershove. Next year, the route will move more towards Langemark-Poelkapelle.
