Four creative ideas are in contention for support through the 2026 Neighborhood Budget. The municipality's residents will help decide which projects will ultimately be realized. The projects receiving support will be determined by citizen votes.
The proposals open for voting are: a swing for Galgenveld, Cosmopad, Wezem'Trophy, and the play tables of Wezembeek. Voting is open until November 1st via the website idee-wo.be. Participants can easily rank the projects according to their preference.
After the voting period, a jury will rank the project proposals based on the number of votes received. Subsequently, the jury will present a proposed budget allocation to the college of mayor and aldermen. The college will then award the budgets to the winning projects.
Starting in 2027, the initiators will have two years to realize their ideas and improve their neighborhood. A new call for proposals will be launched in 2027 for those who wish to submit their own ideas.
