Tremelo aims to become Kringkampioen 2026, a title awarded to the municipality that collects the most kilograms of reusable items per inhabitant. The competition, organized by Kringwinkel, will reward not only the winner with an extra surprise but also the second and third place finishers with a podium spot.
Residents are urged to check their closets, garages, or attics for items they no longer use but are still perfectly functional. These can be brought to De Kringwinkel between October 17 and 31. For larger items, a free home pick-up service is available. Every kilogram collected counts towards the chance of winning the title.
This initiative is part of the celebration of 25 years of Kringwinkel, which has been giving items and materials a new life for a quarter of a century, creating opportunities for people in the social economy. Through the Kringkampioen campaign, Kringwinkel aims to highlight reuse, sustainability, and social impact.
