For (future) parents in Steenokkerzeel, applying for childcare will become much easier from October 1, 2026. The municipality is launching the new digital platform Opvang.Vlaanderen, where all applications will be processed centrally.
The platform allows parents to create a profile and easily submit an application to one or more childcare locations. Users can view all available childcare spots in Steenokkerzeel and neighboring municipalities, increasing the chances of finding a suitable spot for their child in time.
