The Achtergaelpark, located in the center of Melsbroek, is an open green space that may receive a new design. The municipality of Steenokkerzeel aims to transform the area into an environment that promotes nature, social interaction, and relaxation.
Residents are encouraged to share their suggestions, which could include ideas for play and discovery nature areas, more flowers and trees, a golf practice zone, or a quiet seating area.
Participation is possible through two channels: a public consultation event on Sunday, November 15th, from 2:00 PM to 6:00 PM (drop-in, no registration needed) at the Parochiezaal in Melsbroek, or online via a survey on the municipal website.
The municipality emphasizes the importance of residents' input in shaping the future appearance of their neighborhood.
