Following an information campaign in September, 600 additional residents of Holsbeek have registered for BE-Alert, bringing the total number of registered inhabitants to around 2,400.

The municipality of Holsbeek reports that 600 new residents signed up for the emergency alert system BE-Alert at the end of September. This brings the total number of registered inhabitants to approximately 2,400.
BE-Alert enables citizens to quickly receive important notifications during emergencies. The municipality also uses the system for general messages, such as information about disruptions due to road works or temporary service interruptions. Residents are asked to give permission in their profile to receive these messages.
Residents who previously received a BE-Alert message without being registered were likely reached via cell towers. However, this does not mean automatic registration, and not all messages may be received. It is recommended to check if you already have a profile or to register via www.be-alert.be.
For individuals without an email address, the National Crisis Centre offers a solution. They can be contacted via be-alert@nccn.fgov.be to arrange their registration.
