On Saturday, October 3rd, thousands of flower bulbs will be planted in the municipality of Herent. This initiative, launched by the MAKR (Environmental Advisory and Climate Council), aims not only to create a colorful spring but also to help bees and other pollinators.
The MAKR has purchased no less than 14,000 organic flower bulbs for this purpose. Participants are invited to gather on Saturday, October 3rd at 2 PM. The meeting points are at the Vredesboom in Schotstraat, at the church of Winksele, and at the Cemetery of Veltem.
Everyone who wishes to help is welcome. Participants are advised to wear sturdy shoes and bring a bucket and a small trowel. The event emphasizes the importance of nature conservation and community spirit.
