During the autumn holidays, the city of Halle is adjusting the traffic situation in Kleutersbaan and Vinkenlaan in Buizingen. Both streets will become bicycle zones with a speed limit of 30 km/h and modified parking rules to improve traffic safety around the school.

In Kleutersbaan and Vinkenlaan, traffic rules are being changed. Cars will travel from Nachtegaalstraat to Vinkenlaan in Kleutersbaan, and from Kleutersbaan to Nachtegaalstraat in Vinkenlaan. This creates a traffic loop around the Kleutersbaan campus of the Heilig Hart&College. Cyclists will continue to be able to use both streets in both directions.
Both streets are being designated as bicycle zones where drivers are limited to a maximum speed of 30 kilometers per hour. In these zones, overtaking by cars and other motorized vehicles is prohibited. A new pedestrian crossing will be installed in Vinkenlaan near Kleutersbaan, enhancing safety for schoolchildren.
Regarding parking, in Kleutersbaan between Nachtegaalstraat and Vinkenlaan, parking will only be permitted on the side with even house numbers. The side with odd house numbers will have a no-parking and no-stopping ban. Removing parking on this side creates necessary space for pedestrians traveling to or from school. The school street regulation will remain in effect before and after school hours, temporarily prohibiting motorized traffic.
