October is traditionally the month for graduations at UCLL University College. All graduating students, from both the first and second examination sessions, were celebrated together. In total, 4829 students obtained a diploma in the 2025-2026 academic year at UCLL in Limburg and Vlaams-Brabant.
The largest groups of students earned basic education qualifications: 3165 obtained a professional bachelor's degree and 695 a graduate degree. Additionally, 431 students completed a bachelor-after-bachelor (banaba) program, and 538 a postgraduate program.
In Leuven, 3074 students received their diplomas, representing an approximate 2.5% increase compared to the previous year. Of these, 2040 students earned a professional bachelor's degree, a number comparable to last year.
Within the professional bachelor's programs, there are 425 new teachers, 645 management students, 372 health sciences students, 336 social work and welfare students, and 262 technology students.
The graduation ceremony for the bachelor's program in Applied Computer Science marked its very first cohort, with 34 graduates. Similarly, the bachelor's program in Human Resources Management celebrated its inaugural class, with around 70 students experiencing this milestone.
A total of 417 students graduated with a graduate degree, indicating another rise. Over the past five years, the number of graduate students has increased by approximately half. Furthermore, 329 students obtained a specialization through a banaba program, also showing an increase. Finally, 288 students were awarded postgraduate degrees.
Some ceremonies took place on UCLL's own campus, but the larger programs were held at the Brabanthal. On Saturday, October 10th, and Sunday, October 11th, the venue was filled with celebrations throughout the day.
