From Saturday, October 17, traffic in Dilbeek near the Ring (R0) and Ninoofsesteenweg (N8) will change due to roadworks, with new closures and diversions implemented.

Starting Saturday morning, October 17, the traffic situation on the Ring (R0), the Ninoofsesteenweg (N8), and several Dilbeek streets will significantly change. The transition begins on Friday evening, October 16, at 8 PM with the installation of new closures and traffic signs. By Saturday morning at 5 AM at the latest, all traffic measures will be in effect.
The access and exit ramps 13 on the Dilbeek side will temporarily close from October 17. This includes the exit from Groot-Bijgaarden and the entrance towards Anderlecht. This closure is currently planned until April 2027. The ramps on the Brussels side will remain open, as will through traffic on the Ninoofsesteenweg via the bridge over the Ring.
To manage traffic flow, two new U-turn loops will be introduced. Traffic from Groot-Bijgaarden towards Dilbeek will be rerouted via complex 14 near Westland Shopping and a U-turn loop on Sylvain Dupuislaan to take exit 13 on the Brussels side. Traffic from Dilbeek towards Anderlecht will be directed from the Ninoofsesteenweg to the entrance towards Groot-Bijgaarden, then using a U-turn loop on Kattebroekstraat to continue towards Anderlecht.
Complex 12 Kattebroek will permanently close from October 17. The existing connections to enter or exit the Ring will no longer be available. The southern connection will be repurposed as a U-turn loop. The Kattebroekstraat itself will remain open for through traffic, but traffic near the U-turn loop will temporarily use a single lane, regulated by traffic lights.
In the Kaudenaardewijk, measures are being implemented to prevent cut-through traffic. The Kaudenaardestraat and Broekstraat will be interrupted by physical closures. Two 'kiss zones' will also be established: one near the Colruyt along the Ninoofsesteenweg and another near the water basin along the Broekstraat. These measures aim to keep cut-through traffic out of the residential and school areas.
These works are part of the large-scale redevelopment of the N8/R0 traffic complex by De Werkvennootschap. The project is proceeding in phases and is scheduled to last until the autumn of 2029. More information is available on the project page of Werken aan de Ring.
