Residents of Temse who produce more waste due to illness or incontinence can receive a 10 euro discount twice a year on their residual waste bill. This measure is offered by the waste intermunicipal company MIWA.

To apply for the discount, residents must submit a medical certificate to the Infobalie at AC De Zaat. This certificate can be from a doctor, health insurance fund, or VAPH. The application must be renewed annually, by May 1st at the latest, or after June 1st if the certificate was only obtained afterwards. For patients with permanent incontinence and an 'indefinite duration' certificate, a one-time submission is sufficient.
Alternatively, the application form can be completed via the web form at www.temse.be/korting-afvalkosten. Diapers from incontinence patients can be placed in the grey bin. Additionally, it is possible to purchase special white diaper bags at AC De Zaat and take them to the recycling center.
