With the performance ‘A Journey Through the Past’, LeNoise takes the audience on a musical trip through the oeuvre of Canadian singer-songwriter Neil Young. The show takes place on Saturday, October 10th at 8 PM at CC De Ververij in Ronse.
Special guests on stage include Nathalie Delcroix and Jorunn Bauweraerts from Laïs, and violinist Jeroen Baert. Baert is known for his work with artists such as Sun Sun Sun and The Colorist Orchestra, and has also collaborated with Einstürzende Neubauten and Blixa Bargeld.
The ensemble, comprising nine musicians, focuses on Neil Young's subtler works. Expect intimate renditions of classics like ‘Harvest Moon’, ‘Old Man’, and ‘Heart of Gold’, alongside lesser-known gems such as ‘I Believe in You’ and ‘Running Dry (Reqiem for the Rockets)’.
Since 2017, LeNoise has been touring across Europe and the United Kingdom. The band, featuring members like Piet De Pessemier, Luc Schreurs, Vital Maesen, Jo Smeets, Davy Jansen, and Frank Saenen, is recognized for its faithful homages to Neil Young's songs and its special musical collaborations with artists such as Frank Vander linden and Stijn Meuris.
