The municipality of Nazareth-De Pinte has secured second place in the provincial Kringkampioen competition organized by Kringwinkel in Oost-Vlaanderen, with residents contributing 13,750 kilograms of reusable items.

Residents of Nazareth-De Pinte have achieved a remarkable feat by securing second place in the Kringkampioen competition by Kringwinkel in Oost-Vlaanderen. With an impressive 13,750 kilograms of reusable goods, averaging 0.582 kilograms per inhabitant, the municipality earned the silver medal.
The initiative, which ran from October 17th to 31st to celebrate Kringwinkel's 25th anniversary, challenged residents across Flanders to bring in as many reusable items as possible. The final ranking was determined by the number of kilograms collected per inhabitant, not the total weight.
This second place highlights the strong commitment of the residents to reuse and sustainability. By bringing furniture, household materials, textiles, and other usable goods to Kringwinkel, thousands of items were given a second life. This helps reduce the waste mountain and supports Kringwinkel's social mission, creating opportunities for people with a distance to the labor market.
The municipality extends its sincere thanks to all participants. Thanks to their engagement, Nazareth-De Pinte stands on the podium in Oost-Vlaanderen, a result to be proud of.
