In late 2025, the Municipality of Lebbeke purchased two plots of land between Baasrodestraat and Poelstraat. One of these plots will become a birth food forest. This unique project combines the familiar concept of a birth forest with the establishment of a food forest: a place where trees, shrubs, herbs, and other plants enhance biodiversity and also include edible species.
The municipality is collaborating with Velt vzw for the project's development. During the information evening, you will receive more details about the concept, the planned approach, and the further course of the process. You will also discover how residents can contribute ideas and participate in the development of this special green space.
Everyone is welcome at the information session. Prior knowledge or experience with food forests or gardening is not required.
