From April 13 to September 3, 2027, sewer works by Aquafin will take place in the Zikastraat and Mijnwerkersstraat in Moerbeke. These works on the sewer infrastructure aim to improve the network's operation and contribute to a sustainable living environment. The works will be carried out in phases and currently cause little disruption.
From April 20 to spring 2027, Aquafin will also carry out sewer works in Zandbergen and Nieuwenhove. These works overlap and may cause additional traffic inconvenience.
In Zandbergen, Phase 1 of the works on the Bovenkassei started on April 20 and runs until early October 2026. The intersection of Heidestraat-Bovenkassei will be closed from August 5 to September 6. Motorized traffic will not have access, only local traffic is permitted. Diversions are provided for traffic between Zandbergen and Waarbeke, and between Zandbergen and Denderwindeke.
Phase 2 in Nieuwenhove, with works on the Nieuwenhovestraat and Zijpstraat, runs from September 7 to March 31, 2027. Through motorized traffic will not be possible and will follow diversions. These works also impact buses from De Lijn.
From June 29, 2026, footpath 23 in Overboelare will be closed for works on the site of a future McDonald's outlet. A temporary footpath along the stream will be opened on July 3, 2026 at 5 PM, but it is not wheelchair accessible. The new footpath is expected to be ready by early October 2026.

From September 29 to October 2, the footpath and cycle path in the Voldersstraat in Onkerzele will be repaired. Pedestrians and cyclists will have to use the roadway in some places.
The Lindeberg in Viane will be closed from October 1 to October 30 for milling and asphalting works. Motorized traffic and cyclists will follow a diversion via Kouterstraat and Trapstraat.
The Moerbekeplein (railway side) will be closed from October 5 to October 9, 2026 for utility works by Synductis. Motorized traffic will not have access and will follow a diversion. Cyclists and pedestrians will have passage.
The Adamstraat in the center will be redeveloped from October 5, 2026, to March 31, 2027. Motorized traffic will follow a diversion via Stationsplein and Oudenaardsestraat. Cyclists will follow a diversion via Stationsplein and Oudenaardsestraat.
In Zandbergen, one-way traffic will be in effect in the Middenstraat and Jan De Coomanstraat from October 6 to October 9, 2026 for utility works by Fluvius. This temporary traffic situation applies to both motorized traffic and cyclists.
The Kakelenberg in Grimminge will be closed from October 13 to October 24, 2026 for milling and asphalting works commissioned by the local government. Motorized traffic and cyclists will follow a diversion.
