Entrepreneurs and organizations in Ghent looking to reduce their energy consumption can now undergo an energy audit through a new framework agreement with the City. This initiative, in collaboration with the Flemish Energy Company, offers administrative support and guarantees fair prices.

An experienced energy coach will practically assist companies in lowering their energy consumption. Following a comprehensive energy audit, the coach will list feasible interventions and provide tailored advice. Popular measures include solar panels, smart lighting, and optimization of heating and cooling systems. Over half of these investments are recouped within two years.
The City of Ghent acts as a reliable partner, providing administrative support and taking care of the process. Interested entrepreneurs can contact energiecoaching@stad.gent.
This coaching provides entrepreneurs with concrete answers on which investments yield the most for reducing energy bills. The City aims to make accessing this advice easier, enabling more Ghent-based companies to save energy and money.
The City of Ghent has been offering energy coaching in various forms for over ten years. In total, more than 600 Ghent companies have received guidance, collectively investing over 25 million euros in sustainable measures and achieving an average energy consumption reduction of 15 percent.
Entrepreneurs and associations whose premises are more than half residential can also contact Huis+ for free advice and guidance on making the living area more energy-efficient.
