The Onderwijscentrum Gent provides an overview of training sessions, learning networks, and inspiration on urban themes. One of the offered sessions is 'Sitting Together: Dealing with Conflicts in the Classroom', taking place on October 20th. During this session, colleagues from different schools, CLBs, and NAFT partners will exchange ideas on preventing and resolving conflicts.
Furthermore, study days are planned. On Tuesday, October 13, 2026, the 'Day of Resistance Against Poverty - Education & Welfare Network Day' will be held, focusing on poverty-aware collaboration and connecting education and welfare in Ledeberg and Gentbrugge for more opportunities for every child.
On Tuesday, May 11, 2027, the sixth 'Operation Successful Day – Everyone Qualified!' will take place, aimed at combating early school leaving in Gent.
Additionally, there are inspiration days such as 'Identity and Diversity: From Taboo to Dialogue in the Classroom', focused on strengthening the bond with oneself, students, and their families, and utilizing diversity and identity in the classroom. The inspiration day 'Multilingualism at School and Home', focusing on multilingualism among teenagers aged 10 to 14, is also highlighted.
The organization also looks back at 'Expedition Secondary', where the educational landscape of Gent was explored by bicycle, visiting secondary schools and discovering study programs and associated jobs by field of study.
