The three winners of Bandopname 2026 will further develop their musical careers in the coming months. They will receive a professional video recording, a merchandise workshop, and a showcase at music club N9. This initiative aims to give emerging bands from the region opportunities to gain experience and develop.
Letterstomysofia, or Sofia to friends, is a duo formed by Samson and Jef. They explore sounds between electronic music, indie, and ambient, creating a dreamy and atmospheric sound with minimal instrumentation, drawing comparisons to artists like Bon Iver and The 1975.
Nimbus Cart focuses on raw rock, blending psychedelic rock, grunge, and punk. Frontwoman Janis delivers direct, unfiltered lyrics, supported by sharp riffs and solid rhythms, resulting in a sound that is both hard-hitting and accessible.
BLISTERS combines garage punk with socially engaged eighties hardcore and noiserock, drawing influences from bands such as Cro-Mags and Minor Threat. They released their first EP, Cracking Down, in 2025.
Each winner will receive a video recording at Cultuurhuis Herbakker and a merchandise workshop at Jeugdhuis De Route. The program concludes with a joint showcase at music club N9 on Saturday, November 28, 2026. Admission is free.
Bandopname is a collaboration between Cultuurhuis Herbakker, Jeugdhuis De Route, music club N9, and COMEET.
