Near the intersection of Riemesteenweg/R4, the contractor is renewing the bicycle and pedestrian paths on both sides of the Riemesteenweg. The work will be carried out in two phases, with one side of the road being addressed at a time.
Phase 1, from September 30 to October 2, will focus on the south side. The bicycle and pedestrian path towards Rieme will be closed during this period.
Phase 2, from October 5 to October 7, will concentrate on the north side. The bicycle and pedestrian path towards Ertvelde will then be inaccessible. Traffic will be temporarily diverted to the roadway.
Drivers should be aware of a speed limit of 30 km/h and be mindful of cyclists and pedestrians temporarily using the roadway.
From October 8, the works will be completed, and the bicycle and pedestrian paths will be fully operational again.
