On October 17, it is the World Day of Action Against Poverty. This year, the city of Dendermonde and several partners are once again highlighting poverty with a series of events.
On Monday, October 12, the week begins with 'Soup on the Sidewalk' on the Grote Markt in Dendermonde between 10 AM and 1 PM. Later that day, starting at 5 PM, the 'Heartfelt Places Information Session' will take place in the Mezzanine of the library. This project, in collaboration with Enchanté vzw, aims to build a network of welcoming commercial and cultural spots where everyone is invited.
On Tuesday, October 13, 'Soup on the Sidewalk' will be held at Plek35, Sint-Rochusstraat 35, from 10 AM to 12 PM.
The series concludes on Wednesday, October 14, with 'Soup on the Sidewalk' at the Village Square of Baasrode, from 12:30 PM to 3 PM.
