This initiative is a collaboration between the Local Government of Denderleeuw, the Local Government of Liedekerke, and the GP Association of the Aalst region. The partnership was officially ratified during council meetings on September 17 in Liedekerke and September 24 in Denderleeuw.
The accessibility of primary care is under pressure throughout Flanders. By establishing this emergency post, the Local Government of Denderleeuw aims to ensure that residents without a regular GP can receive timely medical assistance.
Individuals without a regular GP, who do not have a global medical file and reside in Denderleeuw or Liedekerke, can book a doctor's appointment at DenderLied from October 1, 2026. Appointments can be made by phone at 0477 67 53 05 during opening hours. Online appointment booking will be available soon, launching later in October.
The GP emergency post will be open on Mondays from 8:30 AM to 12:30 PM and on Thursdays from 8:30 AM to 12:30 PM. Patients are requested to bring their identity card.
The Huisartsennoodpost DenderLied is located at Kasteelstraat 14, in the building adjacent to the entrance of the Sint-Rafaël residential care center. Visitors can park on the premises of the care center.
