Starting October 26, 2026, the municipal building at Stationsstraat 33-35 in Denderleeuw will have a new purpose with the opening of a bike point and workshop by STROOM vzw.

After more than fifteen years of vacancy, STROOM vzw will open a bike point and workshop on October 26, 2026, in the municipal building at Stationsstraat 33-35 in Denderleeuw. The Local Government of Denderleeuw has invested in the renovation of the property, strategically located near the station.
The building underwent various renovation works, including the roof, electricity, heating, cooling, windows, and plumbing, as well as asbestos removal. The redevelopment is part of the vision to strengthen the station area with an accessible public function.
The new bike point will offer bicycle repairs, rentals, and the sale of quality second-hand bicycles. It will also serve as the base for the bicycle couriers of Snel en Wel. The project promotes sustainable mobility, social employment, and the circular economy. STROOM vzw will manage 13 employees from this location.
The bike point is open from Monday to Friday, with specific opening hours on Mondays and Fridays from 9:00 AM to 5:30 PM, and Tuesdays to Thursdays from 12:00 PM to 5:30 PM. Appointments can be made for Wednesday and Thursday mornings.
