On Friday, October 23rd, Youth Movement Day, Hamont-Achel proudly showcased its youth associations. Under the slogan ‘Hats off to the Youth Movement’, the House of the Child, together with the youth associations, highlighted the commitment of all members, leaders, and volunteers. The day concluded with a fun weekend full of activities.
Youth movements stand for romping, laughing, playing, and making memories together. The House of the Child Hamont-Achel thanked all members and leaders for their weekly enthusiastic dedication, which makes the youth movement a place where children and young people can thrive and form friendships.
To reinforce the message, the House of the Child designed a special cap together with the youth associations. With the call ‘Show yourself!’, members were encouraged to wear their caps and their uniforms.
Older youth could participate on the evening of Friday, October 23rd, in the Night of the Youth Movement in Genk. On Sunday, October 25th, children and young people enjoyed a free film with snacks and drinks: ‘Luca’ in the morning and ‘The Sheep Detectives’ in the afternoon.
Youth Movement Day is both a celebration and an invitation to discover the power of youth associations. A word of thanks was extended to all members, leaders, and volunteers who make the youth movements in Hamont-Achel a warm and vibrant place week after week.
