The Sint-Lambertus Church in Kwaadmechelen was the center of attention during Open Monument Day. Heemkunde Ham organized a photo exhibition there, taking visitors through the church's rich history.
For those who had secured a spot, there was an opportunity to climb the 400-year-old church tower. From the bell loft, attendees could admire the church from a unique perspective.
The atmosphere in the church was enhanced by Bar Altaar. Youth club De Stip provided a cozy pop-up bar, while local talents from dj-poolHam offered a silent disco experience.
The old cemetery on the Schoterweg also drew significant interest. During various guided tours, the Loois Archief- en Documentatiecentrum shared more about the cemetery's history and some historical figures who found their final resting place there.
