Two students from Sint-Augustinusinstituut Bree spent a workday at Bree City Hall as part of the YOUCA Action Day, experiencing various municipal tasks.

Bree City Hall welcomed two students from the Sint-Augustinusinstituut Bree (SAB) today for the annual YOUCA Action Day. Julie and Shaya gained insight into the daily work within the city at two different workstations.
YOUCA, which stands for Youth for Change and Action, encourages young people to contribute to a just and sustainable world. During the annual YOUCA Action Day, thousands of young people swap a school day for a workday, with their earnings supporting projects of engaged youth worldwide.
Julie worked at 't Wiekernestje's Bijtjes daycare, where she played with the children, assisted during meal times, and got a glimpse into daily life in childcare.
Shaya spent her day at the library, assisting among the books and lending a hand during the 'Digitale koffieklets' (Digital coffee chat).
Both students gained new experiences and discovered the versatility of working at Bree City Hall. The city thanks Julie and Shaya for their commitment and enthusiasm.
