After a public procedure and evaluation by the municipal review board, the decision was made to continue the partnership with the current Whatz Hap team. The brasserie has proven itself as a dynamic and creative force within the cultural center in recent years.
Alderman of Culture Esmeralda Meyen is delighted with the continued collaboration. “A qualitative and welcoming brasserie is essential for the overall experience of our cultural center. Whatz Hap has demonstrated how enthusiasm, a unique concept, and cultural engagement are seamlessly combined. We are pleased to continue this successful formula and build a vibrant future for the Casino together.”
For operator Jeroen Mangelschots and his team, the extension brings an end to uncertainty. Alongside preparing the concession file and renovation work, the focus can now fully return to hospitality and innovation. “We want to bring back the coziness and togetherness from before the works and lower barriers,” stated Mangelschots. “In addition to our well-known ‘Whatz -All You Can- Hap’ concept, we want people to be able to spontaneously drop in for a coffee, a snack, or a drink.”
With the start of the new cultural season, Whatz Hap is introducing concrete novelties: from mid-October, a unique Dessert tapas concept will be offered on Sunday afternoons, complemented by an extensive winter menu. Thanks to a new payment system with direct Bancontact at the bar, service before and after performances will be faster.
Creative plans are also in place for the upcoming summer period to make Casino Beringen a vibrant meeting place, despite planned surrounding works. The city of Beringen guarantees with the renewed agreement that visitors to CC Beringen can always count on an open brasserie and a warm welcome.
