During the week of October 5th to 9th, the psychosocial rehabilitation center De Keerkring is organizing a distinctive, self-made ‘Babbelbank’ (chat bench) that will travel through Schilde. This initiative is part of the 'Being Well Surrounded' theme by Samen Veerkrachtig. The main goal is to connect residents in an accessible way and highlight the importance of mental health.
The Babbelbank will be available at various locations: on Monday, October 5th (1:00 PM - 3:30 PM) at the Sociale Kruidenier 't Verschil, on Tuesday, October 6th (10:00 AM - 12:00 PM) at the Market of Schilde, on Wednesday, October 7th (2:00 PM - 4:00 PM and 6:00 PM - 7:00 PM) at Werf 44, and on Thursday, October 8th (10:00 AM - 12:00 PM) in the garden of the library in 's-Gravenwezel. On Friday, October 9th (10:00 AM - 12:00 PM), the bench will be at 't Parkske, weather permitting.
The week will conclude with a festive official inauguration of the Babbelbank on Friday, October 9th at 3:00 PM, in front of the facade of De Keerkring at Turnhoutsebaan 73 in Schilde. Everyone is welcome for a snack, a drink, and to try out the bench themselves.
