The 'Resilient Millegem' project officially began on Tuesday, October 13th, at the Miloheem hall. Numerous residents attended to share their ideas, experiences, and wishes for Millegem's future. The atmosphere was positive, fostering engaging conversations and enthusiasm for collaborative village development.
During the kickoff event, residents highlighted what they appreciate about Millegem and identified areas for improvement. Key themes that emerged prominently included basic amenities, social cohesion, and mobility.
The insights and suggestions gathered will serve as the foundational elements for a resident-driven vision. This vision, developed collaboratively with the municipal council, aims to guide Millegem's future direction. The project, facilitated by RURANT, is scheduled to conclude in March 2028.
The next public meeting is scheduled for Monday, November 30th, at 7:30 PM in the Miloheem hall, Milostraat 13. This session will build upon the ideas generated during the initial event, and all contributions are welcome.
Further information regarding the project can be found on the Veerkrachtig Millegem website.
