In Mechelen, the routes of the M-shuttle will be adjusted in October and November. On Saturday, October 11, the shuttle will run from 2 PM to midnight to the Schouwburg on Keizerstraat, a location in the city center where pick-up points are also located. A similar adjustment applies from Thursday, November 5, to Saturday, November 7, when the M-shuttle will also run to the Schouwburg from 2 PM onwards.
These exceptions are necessary for the smooth running of events on the Grote Markt. The M-shuttle does not operate on holidays; therefore, the buses will not be running on Wednesday, November 11.
Regarding the routes Keerdok - Haverwerf - Bruul, the boats will take their first winter break in November and will not be sailing. During this period, visitors can still use the buses, which lead to the inner city via two routes. During busy shopping weekends, with multiple Sundays for shopping, the boats will sail again, provided the Dijle river is not frozen. After this period, the boats will go back into winter hibernation until the end of February.
