The municipality of Hulshout and the Agency for Nature and Forest (ANB) inaugurated the municipality's first official dog walking field on Friday, October 2nd, located on Doodsbroekstraat.

This new facility, situated at the intersection of Doodsbroekstraat and Zijperstraat, covers an impressive area of 4,500 square meters. The enclosed field provides dogs with ample space to play and expend their energy.
The area also features trees and bushes offering sniffing opportunities. A bench invites owners to relax and socialize, while a dog waste station helps maintain cleanliness.
The creation of the dog walking field is a collaboration between the municipality of Hulshout and ANB. ANB provides the land and supplies a bench, picnic table, and information board. The municipality is responsible for the further setup and ongoing maintenance.
During the opening, local residents and their dogs had the chance to explore the new facility. The municipal council offered refreshments to celebrate this new community amenity. Visitors are asked to respect the rules, including mandatory clean-up of dog waste and the prohibition of aggressive, in-heat, injured, or sick dogs. Dogs must always be supervised and wear a collar or harness. The field is explicitly not a playground for children.
