The cycling tour Harten van de Polders attracted many participants this summer through the polder landscape of Middelkerke, Gistel, and Koekelare. Via two cycling routes, participants could discover hidden spots and rural vistas.
During an award ceremony, attended by the aldermen for tourism and sports of the three municipalities and representatives from sponsor B&B Nieuwhof, the winners were announced. The main prize went to Vicky Vanparys, who was represented by her parents.
The successful third edition confirms the appeal of Harten van de Polders as a recreational cycling tour. The initiative introduces participants to the region's green hinterland and encourages active exploration.
