Increased construction and truck traffic is expected in the vicinity of Kleine Noordstraat in the coming weeks as work on the water tower enters a new phase. This will primarily involve transport with concrete mixers and earthmoving vehicles.
Construction traffic will mainly use Bruggestraat, Grote Noordstraat, and Ommegangstraat. Depending on the destination of the excavated soil, Amersveldstraat may also be used for earthmoving.
To alert road users to the additional construction traffic, extra signage will be placed alongside existing traffic signs.
The municipality urges road users to be extra vigilant in the vicinity of the construction site in the coming weeks and to be mindful of the presence of trucks and work vehicles.
