Trees and shrubs help retain water better and create pleasant shade, providing a natural air-conditioning effect, making spaces greener and full of life. The offering consists of native species that naturally occur in the region and thrive there. They are adapted to our climate, making them less susceptible to diseases and pests. Even small (city) gardens can make a big difference, with an offering of trees and hedge packages tailored for them.
Residents of Hooglede can use a discount code when paying for their first tree. The first tree for residents of Hooglede is free. Poles and tree ties are available for purchase upon collection.
Interested individuals can visit www.behaagjetuin.be to view the selection, which includes standard (fruit) trees, mixed hedge packages, blossom and berry hedges, and wood edges. Orders can be placed between September 1 and October 15, 2026. The plants can be collected on Saturday, December 5, 2026, in the municipality.
