On Saturday, October 3rd, the library in Avelgem will be transformed into a vibrant meeting place for the annual Weekend of the Customer. From 9:30 AM to 4:30 PM, both loyal visitors and new residents are welcomed to discover the rich offerings of the library.
For those who have recently moved to Avelgem or one of its sub-municipalities, a special welcome voucher is available. This voucher offers the opportunity for a free one-year library membership for individuals or families. The Weekend of the Customer is the ideal occasion to explore the library, its collection, and services, and to redeem the voucher.
Visitors can expect a guided tour of the library. Afterwards, a drink and a piece of cake will be served, while supplies last. Additionally, there will be continuous demonstrations of various digital services such as 'Mijn Bibliotheek', 'Boekenzoeker', 'Bieblo', and the e-desk, as well as the library's catalog and website. The UITPAS system will also be present.
The program includes specific activities: from 9:30 AM to 12:30 PM, 'Talents in the library' will be featured. In the afternoon, from 1:30 PM to 3:30 PM, children can enjoy balloon twisting and glitter tattoos, and make their own buttons. From 1:30 PM to 4:15 PM, there will be an opportunity for a 'pleasant chat' with coffee and cake.
Furthermore, new parents will receive a nice gift package, and every visitor will get a free drink and a small token, while supplies last.
