Children born in 2025 or earlier who wish to start in a Dutch-language kindergarten or primary school in Tervuren or Wezembeek-Oppem for the 2027-2028 school year can use the central enrollment procedure. More information about this procedure will be provided during an information evening on Tuesday, November 24th at 7:30 PM in CC De Warandepoort in Tervuren.
During the evening, the full procedure will be explained, and there will be an opportunity to ask questions. This will be followed by an information market where parents can meet the participating schools. Enrollment means registering the child via an electronic system, after which the actual enrollment in the assigned school takes place.
The benefits of this procedure include being able to list multiple schools in order of preference, ranking based on preference and walking distance, avoiding queues at the school gate, a clear overview of your position on the waiting list, and ensuring every child has a fair chance at a place in a school of their choice.
The enrollment procedure applies to all children born between January 1st and December 31st, 2025, children who wish to change schools in the 2027-2028 school year, and children already on a waiting list.
Participating primary schools in Wezembeek-Oppem are Heilig-Hartcollege and GBS De Letterbijter. In Tervuren, the participants are: GBS Vossem, GBS Moorsel De Fonkel, GBS Tervuren, GO! De KATtensprong, VBS Mariaschool, Sint-Annaschool, and Steinerschool Kristoffel.
The information evening and fair will take place on Tuesday, November 24th at 7:30 PM in CC De Warandepoort, Markt 7b, Tervuren. Pre-registration is not required.
