The mayor of Kapelle-Op-Den-Bos imposed a temporary access ban on Friday, October 23, 2026, for the Vedettweekend site in Nieuwenrode, after a tent structure was partially damaged due to severe weather conditions.

Due to the severe weather conditions, a tent structure became partially detached. Following intervention by the fire brigade zone Vlaams-Brabant West and based on a negative safety advisory, the decision was made to close the site preventively.
The access ban is in effect from Friday, October 23, 2026, at 6:00 PM until Saturday, October 24, 2026, at 6:00 AM. During this period, the site is not accessible to the public. Emergency and security services will, of course, retain access for any necessary interventions.
The municipality thanks everyone for their understanding and asks for strict adherence to the safety measures.
