Students from several Halle secondary schools will participate in the second edition of the Urban Run on Monday, October 12, 2026. The 2.4-kilometer sporting event starts at De Bres parking and passes through the city center, including Albertpark, Parklaan, Vuurkruisenstraat, Korte Vest, Convent, Volpestraat, the Grote Markt, and Possozplein. The finish line is at Leide parking.
Residents, family members, and supporters are welcome to encourage the young runners along the route. The students will start at different times from 9:15 AM, with the last group departing at 2:15 PM.
For safety reasons, temporary traffic measures will be in place in the city center on Monday, October 12, 2026, from 7:00 AM to 5:00 PM. The Brusselsesteenweg will remain open, but the Slingerweg will be temporarily closed for a few minutes at the start of each group. Parklaan will be closed from Basiliekstraat, and Ninoofsesteenweg will be accessible up to Vestingstraat and Sint-Katharinavest. Leide parking and part of De Bres parking will also be closed.
Visitors driving through or planning to park in the city center on this day are advised to anticipate potential disruptions and choose an alternative route or parking location if possible.
