The municipality of Waasmunster is participating from October 5 to 11 in the Flemish Week of Enforcement. This action week, an initiative by Mooimakers, focuses on combating litter and illegal dumping throughout Flanders.
In Waasmunster, extra efforts in surveillance and enforcement will be made during this week. The aim is to increase the chances of catching offenders and to raise awareness that waste does not belong in public spaces.
The municipality is organizing additional checks, investigating illegal dump sites for identification, and deploying illegal dumping cameras. Through these measures, Waasmunster aims to both prevent violations and sensitize residents to a cleaner living environment.
Enforcement is a crucial part of the broader approach to litter and illegal dumping. Waasmunster is combining this with waste prevention, targeted clean-up actions, and communication to ensure a cleaner municipality.
