The current alternating parking system in Klapdorp will be removed from the traffic code. Therefore, the municipality intends to adapt the regulation in streets where it still applies to a situation with fixed staggered parking spaces. This is the second pilot project with this approach.
The pilot project with fixed staggered parking spaces concludes on Wednesday, November 25. The municipality plans to evaluate the results to reach a definitive solution. Residents can share their opinions and ideas through a short survey. The municipality will consider this feedback when choosing the final traffic arrangement.
In the first trial setup, parking was permitted at house numbers: 1 to 7, 25 to 33D, 35 to 51, and 58 to 82, totaling 48 parking spaces. For the second setup, which is now ending, parking was available at the following house numbers: 2A to 4, 21 to 31, 33D, 38 to 44, 46 to 48a, the vacant lot between 51 and 55, and 56 to 66, and 79 to 85, resulting in a total of 39 parking spaces.
Residents are urged to complete the survey and provide their views on the current pilot project. Responses are expected no later than Wednesday, December 9.
