Over the past few hours, multiple reports of a gas odor have been received within the municipality of Ronse. As a precautionary measure, the Sint-Pieter school, located on Lorettestraat, was evacuated. The fire department and Fluvius responded to the scene to assess the situation.
The school premises have since been cleared, and students were able to return. It was determined that the source of the problem was not within the school itself. The fire department and Fluvius are continuing their investigation into the exact cause of the gas odor.
