The Agency for Roads and Traffic will be carrying out works in Langeweg and Polderken in Maldegem from October 26, 2026, until July 31, 2027.

These works are part of the conversion of the N49 into a motorway (E34) near the Leopoldkanaal. During this period, through traffic will not be possible at the following locations:
  • Polderken: from property boundary Langeweg 24 to the intersection with Langeweg;
  • Langeweg: from house number 21 to the intersection with Polderken.
Local traffic will always be possible.
Through traffic will follow a diversion via Margareta van de Vaghevierelaan and Gravinne. The timing of these works is subject to favorable working and weather conditions.
