Residents could also nominate their Sustainable Hero of Maldegem in 2026. This title highlights local residents, schools, businesses, and associations contributing to the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). This year's focus is SDG 17: ‘We make a sustainable world together!’.
The Maldegem Animal Food Bank is dedicated to animals and their owners facing financial hardship. The team of volunteers monthly assembles pet food packages for individuals in Maldegem and Eeklo experiencing financial difficulties.
The organization emphasizes the importance of pets as inseparable friends offering support, comfort, and joy. They contribute to our well-being and help us through difficult times.
