Local projects that have a positive impact on the neighborhood and its residents have a chance to receive support from the Streekfonds Oost-Vlaanderen. An independent jury selects the projects eligible for funding. Selected projects then launch a crowdfunding campaign via the fund's website to gather supporters who believe in their idea.
The Streekfonds doubles the amount raised by the projects, up to a maximum of 6,000 euros. This allows a project to receive a total of up to 12,000 euros in support.
Those with an idea and who wish to check its eligibility can send an email to info@streekfondsoostvlaanderen.be. The final project proposal must be submitted directly to the King Baudouin Foundation (KBS), via the specific link for the region on the Streekfonds Oost-Vlaanderen website.
