Every year, children go around for Halloween, a tradition where they wear costumes and go from door to door asking for treats with the phrase “Trick or treat”. They often receive a candy from residents.
To let neighbors know their children are welcome, residents can register their address via a form (until October 28th). Participants can also hang a coloring page in their window or light a candle in front of their door as a signal.
The list of participating addresses will soon be published online. The municipality emphasizes that participation in the walk itself does not require registration; only distributing candy requires registration to have the address listed on the website.
Participants are reminded that dressing up is an essential part of Halloween and is highly recommended. The municipality also encourages older participants, with the message 'You are never too old to spook'.
