Several government and institutional websites are currently offline as a precautionary measure, due to discovered vulnerabilities in the PHP programming language that increase the risk of cyberattacks.

The popular programming language PHP, which powers many websites, contains vulnerabilities that significantly increase the risk of cyberattacks. As a precautionary measure, various government and institutional websites have been temporarily taken offline.
The website of the municipality of Pelt does not run on PHP and therefore remains online for the time being. However, it is possible that certain links to other authorities and institutions may temporarily not work. This is already the case for links to the event counter Flowlab, Limburg.net, the province of Limburg, and VDAB, but the number of affected services may increase.
The duration of this situation is not yet clear. For the latest updates, it is recommended to follow major news channels.
